Building a Resilient and Sustainable Blue Economy
The Tamil Nadu Sustainably Harnessing Ocean Resources and Blue Economy (TN-SHORE) project is a transformative initiative dedicated to strengthening the resilience, sustainability, and productivity of Tamil Nadu's coastal and marine ecosystems.

The project adopts a comprehensive, multi-sectoral approach to promote the sustainable utilization of ocean resources while fostering economic growth, environmental conservation, and community well-being. By integrating ecological, social, and economic priorities, TN-SHORE aims to create a resilient and circular blue economy that supports thriving coastal communities and safeguards marine resources for future generations.

The TN-SHORE Project comprises five thematic components, namely:
•    Component 1 – Enhance Coastal Biodiversity;
•    Component 2 – Coastal Protection;
•    Component 3 – Improving Livelihoods;
•    Component 4 – Pollution Abatement; and
•    Component 5 – Project Management.
